Tightening Bolts
This was not a groundbreaking week, buuuuut it was the kind that makes groundbreaking work possible.
We completed 20 development tasks for Prevision v0.33.8. The work covered projector setup, lens behavior, exposure controls, networking, interface cleanup, and a model update. Christian logged 19.5 hours in total. Among tasks with both estimates and actual times, development finished 7.25 hours under estimate, a 29% improvement.
That is a lot of careful work packed into one week. Though most of it will never call attention to itself, users will encounter fewer rough edges and a more dependable product.
We also completed the technical planning for a 12-projector immersive installation. That required converting a 3D production file into the plane elevations needed for projector drafting, calculating coverage, and specifying a system using two projector models and five lens types. The work moved the bid process forward for a planned November performance. We are now waiting on an equipment supplier while we chase two additional spotlights, mounting, and wiring.
A new walkthrough video shows Prevision v0.33.8 in the context of that immersive project. It was prepared for an established industry contact who has expressed interest in a pilot program. Showing the software against a real production plan made for a much stronger demonstration than a generic tour of features.
On the operations side, we restored an expired connection between our bookkeeping platform and financial accounts. We also filed the final paperwork required for our current trademark application. Neither item is glamorous, but both needed to get done.
Several industry conversations continued moving forward. We began exploring a rental arrangement for equipment that sits unused during parts of the year. The prospective operator is still forming the business, so the formal discussion will follow once that process is complete. We also stayed in contact with people working across production, rental, and systems integration. One recent meeting produced a warm follow-up and a direct interest in working together.
Next week, we will begin development of Prevision v0.33.9. We also plan to write a case study about Prevision’s use on a recent theatrical production and continue early discussions around a potential contract.

New Features
Added manual exposure control to the Time of Day widget, including an automatic-exposure toggle and a manual slider. Exposure settings are now included in saved projects.
Added automatic projector-ratio calculation based on resolution, with support for the most commonly used ratios.
Added a reset control to the PJX widget that returns lens shift to 0% on every axis.
Bug Fixes
Fixed negative lens-shift values when creating a new lens. The solution uses a delayed value assignment and will be watched for future side effects.
Restored the PJX widget interface to a clean, consistent layout.
Fixed the PJX widget sizing glitch triggered by dragging the sandbox-intensity control.
Corrected interface squeezing during window resizing and addressed a related NDI title glitch.
Interface Updates
Added an editable field that displays and updates the exact exposure value.
Corrected capitalization and removed italics from the Prevision logo.
Cleaned up physical-size entry when creating projectors and lenses, including the unwanted one-digit minimum behavior.
Disabled drag-to-change behavior for projector and lens number fields.
Made the Escape key close the XYZ overlay and other open overlays.
Refined the keystone controls by limiting displayed precision and resizing the text fields and sliders.
Updated unavailable lens information to display “N/A” while keeping the lens section visibly disabled.
Reduced the size of the Zoom, Keystone X, and Keystone Y sliders to prevent overlap around the zero position.
Standardized application and encoding-folder naming around the current Prevision version.
Improved empty-value handling when creating projectors and lenses. Since the underlying system requires a zero value, the interface now visually hides that default until the field is selected.
Prevented accidental cancellation while creating or editing a projector. The user now leaves that state by confirming or pressing Escape.
Added an interface control for deleting saved projects.
